cloud-based data-warehousing company Snowflake IPO is interesting

Snowflake (NYSE: SNOW) IPO was done a couple of weeks ago.

Famously, Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A)(NYSE: BRK.B) grabbed an anchor stake in the company during its September initial public offering, and subsequently bought even more stock.

Very interesting as Buffett usually stays away from “Tech” companies.

Based on wikipedia, Snowflake Inc. is a cloud-based data-warehousing company that was founded in 2012. It has raised more than $1.4 billion in venture capital, and is based in San Mateo, California. It was publicly launched by Bob Muglia in 2014 after two years in stealth mode.
